This was a two-day workshop for the Kaipātiki Project, delivered as a method to engage the public with eco-mindfulness. It introduced the drawing process of frottage to help participants get 'in touch' with the important trees found in the Eskdale Reserve.
Day 1: Neil Henderson, an ecologist, took us on a journey through the reserve to learn about the trees and the biodiversity they support, and we then got on with drawing the trees through a process of touching, listening and engaging with materials.
Day 2: John Pusateri, from Auckland Print Studio, guided us in the process stone lithography and converting the drawings into lithographic prints
